See the best in Black Hills outdoor sport at the 36th Annual BH Sport Show and Outdoor Expo this weekend
Itching to get into the great outdoors? No need to wait! For the 36th year, you can get your fill of all things outdoors at the Black Hills Sports Show & Outdoor Expo this weekend, Feb. 9-11 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City! The weekend is filled with fun for the entire family as the Expo showcases over 100 dealers and vendors along with a lineup of events and great entertainment.
The Sports Show and Outdoor Expo got its start as an idea among a group of sporting retailers and enthusiasts who wanted to showcase their wares, but also highlight and draw attention to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota as a sporting destination for numerous activities. Today, the Outdoor Exposition has grown to encompass the entire Rushmore Plaza Civic Center with displays, demonstrations and retail outlets for upwards of 100 vendors.
Every major ATV dealer, Boat Dealer and RV Dealer in the Region is represented at this show. Over three days more than 12,000 people will check out the Expo making it the largest of its kind in the state and region. In addition to vendors, the Black Hills Sports Show offers many other fun activities, including trophy deer displays, speakers who are outdoor enthusiasts, and a special “Ladies Lane” featuring many popular direct sales consultants and local artists.
Bring the kids along too! They will love the free kid’s activities including a 25-foot climbing wall, balance bike obstacle course, a kids activities room and the CHIPS program, the South Dakota Child ID program. They can also try their hand at the pellet gun, BB gun or rubberband shooting ranges, or try the NERF hunting adventure zone!
Proceeds from the weekend event benefit local community organizations. Beneficiaries this year are the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills, Rapid City Cosmopolitan Club, and South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures.
